Some people might say there's not much to see in Canada's capital. I know it's not the busiest city, but I liked it so much. Nobody was in rush, we just slowly walked in the city centre, we enjoyed the atmosphere, we sat for tea and pastry, we tasted beavertail. And then we went for free into Parliament building where was an amazing guide sharing with us those interesting and fun facts ("This building was built after the original building burn out in 1916. It was built in neo-gothic style which was outdated at that time. But you know, when you're young, you always want to look a bit older, so they did it this way.") And I found out how the Canadian spring looks like - there are obviously only 3 types of weather during spring here:
#1 rain
#2 snow
#3 freezing rain
Unfortunately, I'm not kidding! But Ottawa was worth visiting and people were very nice
(as always in Canada).
Must visit: Parliament, By Ward Market, Canal Rideau (better in winter for skating or in summer to walk by), fun was also War museum (free entrance Thursdays 5-8 PM)
Date of visit: 11.-12.4.2018
